I turned off all mods and still nothing. I tried to select different options in menu but the truck not slow down when i activate the additional brakes.
Then I started to drive around a bit with the activated handle, accelerating and braking a bit heavier than usual, and suddenly the retarder noise came back and the truck started braking. I really would like to know what is causing this annoying bug.
The degree of retardation can be varied by adjusting the fill level of the chamber. Hydraulic retarders are extremely quiet, often inaudible over the sound of a running engine, and are especially quiet in operation compared to engine brakes. A Retarder acts on the Torque Converter, not the transmission.
Also, I don't know what retarders are and how they can be helpful. Přihlášení Obchod Domovská stránka Fronta doporučení Seznam přání Věrnostní obchod Novinky Statistiky
Am I the only one having a problem with using the retarder switch in the truck. Im driving the Volvo FH16. The switch SHOULD be all the way up is off, first position is brake activated, and the rest are off throttle activated. when i turn my switch on it just drags the brakes and wont let me gain speed.
. The term retarder is often used broadly and includes engine/exhaust brakes (Jake brakes) and dedicated hydraulic systems. In the game, retarder refers to hydraulic retarders and these are actually fairly uncommon in the US. They work by either being a part of the transmission itself, or attached to an accessory shaft on the transmission.
Euro Truck Simulator 2. A Little Idea On Retarder Setting. This is really unimportant but i have a question. In real life, as most of you know, the retarder can be activated in full power by just pushing the lever all the way down by one basic move. But in the game we have to press, let's say, 4 times seperately to get the full power.

Hello, In ETS2/ATS there are several "types" of brakes. Regular, engine brakes, retarder, air brakes. If I turn automatic engine brake/retarder, simulated air brakes - how do they work? I mean as I understand it, Regular is just pressing "s" Engine brakes, is shift gear down. but when the transmission is automatic, how? ♥♥♥♥♥♥ is that stick (buses have it too) Aiir Brakes, I guess
Is truck speed limited to 90 ets2? By default, your truck won't go any faster than 90km/h on Euro Truck Simulator 2. No matter how much you spent on the engine and performance, the speed just fall on that limit. That's not your fault. The game itself limits your maximum speed to 90km/hour although most trucks can go above 130+km/hour quite easily.
